Bengaluru: CM says Tipu Jayanti celebrations will continue as before

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 2: Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, confirmed that Tipu Jayanti celebrations, which were introduced during the term of the previous government, will be continued this year too.

He said that he is committed to continue to implement schemes and programmes announced by the previous Congress-led regime. Accordingly, Tipu Jayanti will be held, he added.

He noted that many organizations including BJP and Sangh Parivar leaders have been bringing pressure on the government to shelve these celebrations. But these demands will not be met, he clarified.

At the time of Tipu Sultan there was no one India.
There were 100s of kings and rulers. Ruling different areas.
Tipu did not fight for India's independence. Rather he fought against British to save his kingdom. Exactly like most of the kings were fighting each other, waging war against each other.
Celebrating his birthday is nothing but a vote bank politics.
    Public need development not chocolates.

Tippu Sultan was a good warrior who fought for protecting his throne. But he was a fanatic ruler who had killed and harassed thousands of Christians as well as Hindus. It is unfortunate that we are glorifying a ruthless ruler by celebrating his birthday. We do not agree with our CM for Tippu Jayanthi.

CM IBRAHIM is a notorious man in politics who didnt achieved anything but he wants to create rift and unrest between the community as per his beliefs ! He is backing the TIPU jayanthi and our sober SIDDA and KUMMU helping them as they are compel to celebrate the butcher jayanthi even as per their religious beliefs birthdays are not to be celebrated ! Tipu was fight for his own kingdom even he cant be dream about whole India what we are seeing now and thanks to the British who united us as one nation though their intentions were wrong but we benefited the most including partition of the nations !

Tipu IF he would have defeated the British army, the whole country would have turn to ISLAM country and today those HINDU HINDU crying would have called JIHAD JIHAD !

Guys sometimes you should check the reality instead blind def and duffer !!

Why Indira Ghandi separated Bangladesh from Pakistan ~ just search your soul guys you will get the answer ! Pakistan if you analyse it was a good decision by the British !

Kumaranna, Your Political life is FINISH, like Siddaramiah if you follow Congress traditions . Actually, you are following Congress / Siddu's traditions to safeguard your Chair but in reality you Terribly losing it. Whoever glorify "Tipu the Butcher " will be Doomed, because the simple reason is even, 3 hundred years later , the INNOCENT blood of thousands of Canara Catholics & Coorgis are still pleading the ALMIGHTY for Justice !!!!! Good Bye Kumaranna!!!!

Tipu did not fight for Indian freedom, he fought to preserve his kingdom, his power and privilege. The Indian republic should not celebrate a bloodthirsty tyrant.

When Congress was in power and Sri Siddaramayyahi was the CM, you never left anything unopposed to his programmes.
Now with the major support of Congress, you appreciate all Congress programmes.
