Mangaluru: Miscreants in Facebook threaten to kill BD leader Bharath Kumdel

Mangaluru, Nov 3: Bharath Kumdel from Bajrang Dal, who is in jail as an accused in the murder of Kalai Ashraf, has received a death threats from miscreants in Facebook. The messages say that Bharat will be murdered to avenge the murder of Kalai Ashraf.

The open messages in Facebook state that the body of Bharath Kumdel will be bundled soon. There are many replies to the threat messages.

Bantwal taluk SDPI leader Ashraf Kalai was killed in barbaric manner on July 21, 2017. Bajrang Dal leader Bharath Kumdel, the primary suspect of the murder and his accomplices were arrested by police subsequently.

An atmosphere of unrest was created in the district after the incident. Unpleasant incidents had continued then.

Bharath has received bail from high court after being in jail for 16 months. Though Bharath has yet to come out from prison, open threats in a Facebook page for his murder have come to light.

The threat messages and the replies to them posted sound communal and political in nature. Many words are vulgar and offensive too.

One reply responding to the threat messages says that “We are not sitting wearing bangles.”

As per latest report, no complaint has been lodged yet by anyone concerning this Facebook war of words.
