Mumbai, Dec 12: The 29th annual general body meeting of the Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR), was held on Wednesday December 10, at Bunts’ Association auditorium.

The meeting was presided over by AHAR president Chandrahas K Shetty.  Brahan Mumbai Municipal Corporation steering committee executive president Ravindra Vaikar was the chief guest while social worker Sanjana Aranol was the guest of honour.

AHAR honorary chief secretary Santosh R Shetty, honorary treasurer Girish Salian, joint secretary Vishwapal Shetty, joint treasurer Satish Shetty, vice-president Vasant Shetty, Krishna Y Shetty, Srinivas Shetty, Pradeep Shetty, Adarsh Shetty, Sudhakar Y Shetty, Narayan Alva, Mohandas Shetty, Babu S Shetty, Yermal Harish Shetty, administrator Vasant Karkal, and other office-bearers were present on the dais.

AHAR president Chandrahas K Shetty honoured senior hoteliers and Ravindra Vaikar by presenting them with mementoes.

Chandrakant K Shetty inaugurated an exhibition of both Indian and imported health drinks and other foods organized on the occasion. A two-day seminar on the hotel industry was also held.

New president of AHAR and members of the managing committee for the year 2008 – 2011, were elected on the occasion.
