For that goal, secretary general of the association Ratu Tisha said that the team would make the AFF 2019 championship a warm-up for the team prior to the AFC U-23 qualification, reports Xinhua news agency.

"We will use the AFF Cup 2019 as a gauge to measure the result of works of coach and boost motivation of the football players," she said.

The official said that all stakeholders will give best supports for the achievement of the goal, including providing facilities and data and information needed.

Passing the qualification of AFC U-23 Cup will give an opportunity to the Indonesian soccer team to take part in the World Cup 2024, according to her.
