Sydney, Jan 6 (IANS): The first session of the fourth day of the fourth and final test match between India and Australia here on Sunday was washed off due to rain, and the umpires called for lunch.

Overnight batsmen Peter Handscomb (28) and Pat Cummins (28) were still at the crease with Australia trailing by 386 runs in the first innings with four wickets remaining.
