Mangaluru: Fight between gangs at pub - police cane miscreants

Mangaluru, Jan 7: A pub in Ballalbagh here witnessed fight between two gangs on Saturday night. It is said that pistol was pointed at people and death threat was posed.

A case of murder attempt in this connection stands registered at Barke police station here.

The name of one of the five accused has been given as Puneek Shetty. One among them, Ameel Basit, stands arrested.

Verbal friction arose between two gangs led by Puneek Shetty and Suman Shetty at midnight at the said pub over a silly reason. The gang led by Puneek Shetty reportedly attacked Akshat. Puneek Shetty also flashed his pistol at the other gang and posed death threat to members of the opposite gang, reports said.

As soon as they got to know about the fight, Barke police rushed to the spot and dispersed the crowd by caning them.

    Pub must close exactly at 10 PM. And the Police on duty that place and the Corporater must check the peace in that area . We have Elected corporator to check daily in their area ( not only Pub but every problem) If any untoward incident happend they must held responsible. We need service oriented representatives.

    Once we heard Bunts use to fight for property matters or for some pride issues. Now a days some of them joined some groups just for easy life and mix with every one who dont have any class and spoiling the name of Bunts community and loosing their standards. Most of their parents got the land because of Indira Gandhi bought a revolution ಉಳುವವನೇ ವೊಡೆಯ and the children of the beneficiaries are blaming Congress today. Thats a real joke.

    I may be wrong in elaborating exactly what I mean but I am sure people will understand what I am trying to say.
