Moodbidri, Jan 24: “No organisation or law can take action against problems without public complaints. Ignoring corruption in society is also like supporting it,” said south zone anti-corruption bureau (ACB) DySP Sudheer Mahadeva Hegde.
He was speaking as resource person in ‘Bhrastachara Virudda Yuvajananga’ (Youth against corruption) programme organized by the department of politics in Alva’s Education Foundation here.
“Success is assured and corruption can be prevented if one walks on the path of justice without becoming a part of corruption. Students becoming victims of corruption, becoming a part of it or becoming a leader through corruption depends on their mentality. Corruption can be reduced when students do not support corrupt activities. Students and people should obtain knowledge about anti-corruption act for the purpose,” he said.
Alva’s Education Foundation managing trustee Vivek Alva, college principal Dr Kurien, Arts department dean Sandhya K S, lecturers Ramesh B and N C Nagaraj were present.
