Mysuru, Jan 25: A 30-year-old woman identified as Bandipalya resident Aasha committed suicide by hanging after strangulating and killing her two eight-year-old twin sons. Her death note stated that personal reasons are the cause of the deaths and blames nobody other than herself for them.
The incident took place at her residence in Bandipalya under south police station limits here at night on January 23. Her deceased sons are identified as Shauryagowda and Supreethgowda. Her husband who is a daily wage worker was away. Her sons were found on the bed with marks of strangulation on their necks.
A case of unnatural deaths has been registered by police under section 174 of the Indian Penal Code. Autopsy of the bodies was conducted at Mysuru medical college and research institute on January 24 before handing them over to the relatives.
