Mangaluru: Mysuru Vijayanagar Club claims inter Rotary Club Quiz contest trophy

Mangaluru, Jan 26: Rotary Club of Mysuru Vijayanagar team represented by Rtn H M Harish clinched the 13th annual prestigious Rotary Quiz Trophy by securing 94 points.

The Rotary Club of Mangaluru city represented by Rtn Dr Ranjan and Rtn Sumith Rao secured 92 points and were declared runners up.

Rotary Club Bykampady represented by Rtn Subhodh Kumar Das and Prasad Prabhu team secured 90 points and settled for third place.

Rotary Club of Mangaluru central as part of Rotary movement awareness campaign conducted their 13th annual district level 'Inter Club Rotary Quiz' contest on Friday January 25 at Hotel Ocean Pearl Mangaluru. The quiz was based exclusively on Rotary related affairs, matters and issues.



Mysuru city based eminent industrialist and Rotary past district governor Rtn R Krishna graced the occasion as chief guest. In his address he lauded the valuable contributions of Dr Rai to the Rotary movement and congratulated him on his achievements. Later he awarded the Rotary Glittering Trophy, certificates and cash prizes of Rs 3,000 to the winners and runners up and congratulated them on their unique achievements.

12 teams from Rotary District Mysuru, Mangaluru, Bykampady, Puttur, Bellare participated in the contest.

Rtn Dr Devdas Rai was the quiz master and officiated the closely contested quiz.

Asst governor zone-3 Rtn Kiran Prasad Rai was the guest of honour. He released the weekly club news bulletin 'Centor'.

Club president Rtn Santhosh Shet presided over the function.

Secretary Rtn Noel Pinto presented the monthly report.

Rtn Dr Nandakishore Rao proposed the vote of thanks.
