Mumbai, Jan 28: BSKB Association Gokula Sion celebrated 70th Republic day of India. It presented the annual ‘Gokula Ratna’ award to Gokulavani honorary editor Vyasarao Ninjur. Association president Dr Suresh Rao chaired the programme.
Veteran author Dr Sunita M Shetty, Mitra Venkatraj, H B L Rao, Ahalya Ballal and journalist Srinivas Jokatte were present.
Association vice president Vaman Holla hoisted the national flag in the morning. Jagadish Acharya of Sanjeevini Trust spoke about Gokula Rathna award. Ladies wing president Prema B Rao read the letter of felicitation. Students who secured highest marks in professional courses were felicitated.
Chandrashekar Bhat, Anuradha Rao and Ashraya convener Chandravati Rao presented the cultural programme.
The programme concluded after the National Anthem.
