Moodbidri, Jan 29: Thieves stole golden ornaments worth lacs of rupees after entering the house when the inmates of the house were not there. The theft has come to light after four days.

Suchitra, a resident of Neeralke Pucchemogaru had been to a marriage of her relative at Mangaluru on Jan 24. She returned to her home only on Sunday, Jan 27. On return, she was shocked to find that the house is ransacked and cupboard is broken and 75 grams of gold worth Rs 2.15 lac is stolen by the intruders.

Suchitra has registered a complaint in this regard with the Moodbidri police on Monday, January 28. Police have got the clue of the thieves and further investigation is on.

    We have not seen any big achievment by Moodabidri Ploice other than catching some sand trucks and few Cow case. Patrolling at Night very Poor. Tracfic controol is improved only by the efforts of Home Guard. Robbery is very common in this area. many Murder took place in 2 to 3 years. Fight. Correl, drugs , is very common, but no control. Women think they think they are safe when they see Home Guard , Police do nothing for Girls and Women Safety.
