Kundapur: Motor bikes collide - pillion rider killed

Kundapur, Jan 29: In a tragic incident which happened at Talur near here on the night of Sunday, the pillion rider of a motor bike was killed after a motor bike hit his vehicle with force.

A motor bike that was moving towards Trasi from the town was trying to overtake another vehicle when it hit another motor bike coming from the opposite direction. When the pillion rider, Rajendra Singh, of the other bike lost his balance and fell on the road, a crane that was passing by moved over his legs, as a result of which he suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to Manipal hospital for treatment. He lost his battle for life at about 11 pm the same day.

Rider of the motor bike in which Rajendra Singh was seated, identified as Keshav Singh, suffered injuries in the accident. A case stands registered in the police station here against the rider of the other motor bike, Scarvin Manohar and crane driver, Aravind.
