Bantwal, Jan 30: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Nayanadu unit, founder and president Nelvister Pinto, founder and vice-president Naveen Galbao's NG Nayan Charitable Trust and Sri Rama Yuvaka Sangha held free medical, dental and blood donation camp at St Joseph higher primary school, Nayanadu in association with doctors from KMC, Mangaluru.
Nayanadu St Francis Assisi Church parish priest Fr Santhosh Menezes inaugurated the camp. Pingara Rajyotsava awardee, social worker, Humanity foundation founder Roshan D’Souza Belman was felicitated commending his service on the occasion.
More than 40 doctors from KMC took part and distributed medicines. As many as 221 people got themselves examined by the doctors. Fifty-three people were provided free spectacles. Thirty-eight people took part in blood donation. Villagers from Pilatabettu, Nayanadu, Kajala and nearby places made use of the camp.
School headmistress Monthi sister, Pilatabettu gram panchayat president Chandrashekar Shetty Kumangila and Simon Moras, vice president of parish pastoral council were present.
