Udupi, Jan 30: Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists applied soot on their bodies and protested against the dual policies of the centre on Wednesday, January 30.

For the past 23 days, the activists have been staging protests in Kaup taluk unit, against the unscientific road work from Navyug Company, which is also collecting toll from road users.

The Udupi deputy commissioner had called for a meeting of the representatives of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, other groups and associations in the past. The DC had said that she will visit and verify unscientific works in Padubidri area. As she did not visit the vicinity so far, the activists continued protests by applying soot on their bodies.
