Mumbai: Om Shakthi Association encourages poultry, goat farming among Adivasis

Mumbai, Jan 31: Ambarnath Murbad MLA Kisan G Kathore inaugurated Gram Vikas project of Om Shakthi women’s association that is meant to provide self employment to Adivasis here. He said that poultry and goat farming project by Om Shakthi Association is extremely meaningful and offered his support to it.

Honorary president of the association Chitra R Shetty said that they have a dream of converting the village into a model village.

Kalyan hotel owner’s association president Pravin V Shetty, Murbad panchayat committee’s Seema Anil Gharat, panchayat committee member Anil Gharat, Subhash Gharat, police inspector Pore Sab were present. 45 goats and 600 hens were distributed among 50 Adivasi families.



Anil Shetty Kenja, Om Shakti treasurer Surekha H Shetty, joint treasurer Kushal G Shetty, Rajani S Shetty, Suchita J Shetty, Yashoda S Shetty, Jayashree K Shetty, Usha A Shetty, Sumathi S Shetty, Vishala J Shetty, Revathi P Shetty and Ashna P Shetty took part in the programme.

Social welfare committee convener Shashi P Shetty welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Joint secretary Greeshma P Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
