Bantwal, Feb 3: Social democratic party of India, Bantwal held protests with shouting of slogans in front of Mini Vidhan Saudha, B C Road on Feb 2 that they will not bear the reincarnation of Nathuram Godse against Hindu Sabha activists who had shot at an effigy of Mahatma Gandhi with a toy gun on the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

SDPI district chief secretary Rahul S H said that nonviolent campaigner Mahatma Gandhi was killed by Nathuram Godse. “It was the first terrorist act in the country. While black day and martyrs day is being observed condemning the act in the country, Hindu Sabha activists in Uttar Pradesh have supported the killing of Gandhiji and showed a mock show of his murder by shooting at an effigy. SDPI strongly condemns it.”

SDPI Bantwal vice president Khalander Parthippadi said that it is an act of country’s betrayal. “A case should be registered against them and suitable legal action should be taken against them making sure that such acts do not occur again,” he urged the government.

SDPI block president Yousuf Aladka led the sit in protests and said that it is unfortunate that such people with distorted minds are in the country.

A memorandum was submitted to the government through Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi. Municipal councillor Munish Ali, Idris P J, secretary Ismael, Isac Talapady and Iqbal were present. Committee member Mallik welcomed and thanked.
