Beltangady: Motor bike plunges into drain - rider killed

Beltangady, Feb 3: After a motor bike plunged head on into an eight-foot deep drain at the Mundruppady road bend on Mundaje - Dharmasthala road in the taluk on the night of February 1, the rider of the bike lost his life.

Manjappa (45) from Puduvettu Kadya was killed in this accident. He had left home for visiting his brother's family on Friday but had gone missing since then. The family members who went searching for him found the motor bike and his mortal remains inside the roadside drain near Mundruppady road bend on Saturday.

The accident would have happened at around 8 pm on Friday, it is felt. A case was registered in the traffic police station here on the basis of complaint made lby Manoj, son of the deceased.
