Davanagere, Feb 3: Deputy commissioner of the district, Dr Gautham Bagadi, will be marrying the chief executive officer (CEO) of the zilla panchayat (ZP) here, S Ashwathi, at Kozhikode, Kerala, on February 14.

The reception is being held at The Park Hotel, Visakhapatnam, on February 17.

While Dr Gautham, a 2009 batch senior IAS officer, is from Andhra Pradesh, S Ashwathi, a 2013 batch IAS officer, is from Kozhikode, Kerala. It is said that the two were in love with each other since sometime, but no one got hint about it till they announced plans to marry.

Dr Gautham had worked as Belagavi zilla panchayat chief executive officer in the past before becoming the deputy commissioner of Raichur. From there, he came to this district as deputy commissioner four months back. Ashwathi, who has been working as CEO of the ZP here since the last 30 months, has been hailed for her efforts to make this district open defecation-free.
