Udupi: Mega job fair 'Bharavase’ on Feb 24

Udupi, Feb 4: “Day-long district level job fair 'Bharavase' will be held on February 24 at the campus of Viveka Pre-university College, Kota,” said leader of opposition Legislative Council and correspondent of ‘Bharavase’ Kota Srinivas Poojary.

A poster of the job fair was released by district in-charge minister Dr Jayamala.

Kota was speaking at a press meet at conference hall at Circuit House Bannanje here on Sunday, February 3. He said, “More than 100 different corporate companies will participate in the mega job fair. We are expecting more than 5,000 youths to register their names. A counselling programme will be conducted on February 17. Let us register names at large number.

“Today's generation has a true need of employment. A job is needed for running a family. Udupi people need more such opportunities to build their careers. Let youths make good use of it,” he said.



Udupi Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje said, “Lots of graduates are waiting to make a good career. Only few people will get jobs at placement centers. Skill development department was not present earlier. But today's union government has implemented skill training department in all the states successfully. Let students make use of this facility.”

The job fair will be jointly organised by Dr Shivaram Karanth Foundation and Kotathattu gram panchayat under the guidance of district administration, Employment and Skill Development department, Industry and Employment Training department and Pradhan Manthri Kaushalya Vikas department.

Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat, president of zilla panachayat Dinakar Babu, president of Kotathattu gram panchayat, and zilla panchayat member Geethanjali suvarna were also present.
