Sullia, Feb 19: President of Subrahmanya temple managing committee, Nityananda Mundody, while dismissing Samputa Narasimha Swamy math's ownership claim over Subrahmanya temple as put forth in its notice, said that the math's arguments are baseless. Addressing a press meet on the night of Saturday, he said that both the institutions are totally different entities and they do not have any connection with each other.

Mundody said that the temple has all the records including land records, verdicts in previous suits and copper edicts certified by the archaeological department to confirm that the temple has been under the government's control since the last over 200 years. He said that in all the previous suits, the courts have repeatedly asserted that the property of the temple and its building are owned by the government.

Managing committee members, Madhava D, master plan committee member, Shivaram Rai and office superintendent, Balasubrahmanya Bhat, were present.
