Bengaluru: Diocese of Shimoga holds ‘ApoorvaYuva Sangama’

Bengaluru, Feb 21: ‘Apoorva Yuva Sangama-2019’, migrant youth meet of Shimoga diocese for those youth working and studying in Bengaluru, was held on February 17 at the Shrine of Infant Jesus, Viveknagar. AYS-2019 was organised by Yuvamitra, youth commission of the diocese, under the guidance of Dr Francis Serrao, bishop of Shimoga.

The programme began with introducing each one to the group followed by the address of Bishop Francis Serrao. Nishal B, the PRO of youth commission spoke on the various activities of Yuvamitra and its impact on the youth of the diocese. Fr Pius D Souza, the youth directoraddressed the youth on the topic ‘Youth Action -2025’ and the purpose of AYS-2019. The DEXCO members shared their views on their participation and its outcome. Bishop Dr Francis Serrao offered Mass for the intentions of Youth gathered for AYS-2019.



A good number of 60 youth participated in ‘AYS-2019’.
