Udupi, Feb 22: “Citizens can be provided excellent service utilizing available technologies for administration,” said Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje.

She was speaking after symbolically setting in motion Yuva pay software. She commended the use of software for collection of panchayat tax for the first time in the state to implement PM’s ambitious dream of digital India in villages such as Kaduru and Nadoor.

Kadoor gram panchayat member Suresh Shetty said that MP’s model village scheme has enabled all round development. “A plan is prepared for the purpose and the cooperation of people is necessary,” he said. He asserted the use of software for saving time, transparency and people friendly administration. He added that he is determined to make Kadooru grama panchayat a model by providing suitable facilities.



Effective use of Yuva Pay app for payment of house tax, water bill, collection of cleaning cess, monetary help for members of Mahila Okkoota under Sanjeevini scheme, implementation of individual and community works, grants for basic facilities, information on voting and projects was demonstrated.

Kadoor grama panchayat president Ananda Naika, charge officer Adiga, Nodel officer Chandrashekar Shetty, Brahmavar CODP Shobha, medical officer Anil Kumar, health officer Rakshit, veterinary department’s Pradeep Kumar, Sanjeevini project coordination officer Panduranga, panchayat members, department officers, Mahila Okkoota members and citizens were present.

The programme began after offering tributes to Pulvama martyrs. Citizens took a pledge of casting their votes. Panchayat development officer Mahesh K compered the programme.
