Udupi, Feb 24: A meeting with locals of Ambagilu, Perampalli and Manipal was held on Saturday February 23 regarding land acquisition for the upcoming road widening project.
Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat presided over the meeting. Udupi taluk tahshildar Pradeep Kurudekar, public works department officers Chandrashekhar, Jagadish Bhat, gram karanikas, surveyors and locals whose land will be acquired were present.
During the meeting it was informed that Rs 10 crore has been released for Ambagilu-Manipal road work.
The final decision on land acquisition will be taken in the next meeting, informed the MLA.
