Byndoor, Feb 25: "The BJP government led by Narendra Modi, which is almost completing five years of rule in the center has not fulfilled the promises made to the people of India in their election manifesto. It is trying to retain the power by playing with the sentiments of the people through the issues of Hindutva and building of Ram Mandir. The Congress party has the challenge and responsibility to bring the voters of the country out of the illusionary world created by BJP," said Dinesh Gundu Rao, president of KPCC.

Dinesh Gundu Rao was speaking at the Vandse Block Congress Committee installation of office bearers and the conference of party workers that was held on Sunday, February 24 at the NTS Sagar Palce at Devalkunda village near here.

Speaking on the occasion, former MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake said, "Nitin Gadkari of BJP himself has said that Modi is giving false promises." Former MLA K Gopal Poojary said that the workers of the party have to unite for the upcoming elections and take revenge for the defeat of the elections gone by.

Not 'Go Back Shobha' but 'Go Back All BJP MPs' campaign should be held, ridicules Dinesh Gundu Rao

Kundapur, Feb 25: "The aim of the BJP MPs was to take the power in their hands and not working for the state. They have not worked for the state of Karnataka even one single day. Not 'Go Back Shobha' but 'Go Back All BJP MPs' campaign should start," ridiculed KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao.

Dinesh was speaking to the scribes at Bagwadi, near Hemmady of the taluk on Sunday, February 24. He had arrived to take part in the party programme. He further said, "All the BJP MPs have not done any work for Karnataka. All including Yeddyurappa, Anant Kumar Hegde and Shobha Karandlaje have not given any gift to the state. They have never voiced the concerns of the state in the parliament. They have not attracted the attention of prime minister Modi. They have not got any special grant to the state. The state is facing severe drought since two years. When we sought the help from centre, they granted only 800 crores. However, they gave 4,000 crores to Maharashtra. The BJP MPs have not spoken about this discrimination at all."
