Bantwal: Catechism Day celebrated at Madanthyar Church

Bantwal, Feb 25: On Sunday, February 24, Catechism Day was celebrated at Church Of Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Madanthyar.

Fr Lancy Lewis superior of Asha Deepa celebrated the Holy Eucharist and prayed for all the children. Children and teachers animated the liturgy meaningfully.

After the Mass, breakfast was served for all the people and then cultural programme was held in Sacred Heart hall. Children presented a wonderful programme on the stage narrating teachings and parables of Jesus.

During the programme, children were honored for their achievements and catechism teachers were felicitated for their dedicated service.

Fr Basil Vas, Fr Alwyn D’Souza, Fr Jerome D’Souza, Fr Alwyn, vice president Ronald Sequeira, secretary Leo Rodrigues, Sr Prema Tauro, Sr Theresa Crasta, and teacher Jessy Lobo were present for the program. Meal prepared by parish council was served at the end of the programme. The whole programme was hoisted by the parish council.
