Udupi: Work on vented dam work begins at Aladka

Udupi, Feb 26: MLA K Raghupathi Bhat on Monday, February 25, set in motion the work on vented dam at Aladka at a cost of Rs 4.25 crore.

The dam was a long pending demand of villagers residing in Aladka, Haluvalli who suffer with acute water shortage.

The villagers had submitted their requests many times in the past but the elected representatives failed to take action.

The MLA promised to complete the project soon and provide water to the villagers.

Suggi Sudhaker Shetty Hubballi, Ramanand Sooda Hubbali, Krishna Poojary Talaba, Navin Putran Karje, Balakrishna Poojary Guddeyangadi, Pravin Shetty Kannar, Prashanth Kannar and villagers from Kontibail were present.
