Mangaluru: Foundation stone laid for open air stage in Bajal

Mangaluru, Feb 26: The foundation stone laying ceremony for a new open air stage was recently held at Bajal church premises.

Ivan D'Souza MLC and parliamentary secretary to the chief minister was chief guest.

On the occasion, the parish priest of Bajal Holy Spirit Church, Fr Remegius Aranha welcomed the guests and and felicitated Ivan Dsouza for his contribution to the community as well as for his efforts in setting up of Christian Development Board and allocating Rs 200 crore for the purpose.

He further explained the need for an open air stage in the premises, as there is no proper stage and it will be helpful for the school activities and public programmes also.



Ivan Dsouza in his address thanked the chief minister of Karnataka for setting up of the Christian Development Corporation and for laying the stone for the stage. He announced some grants for the stage from his fund.

Vice president, Henry Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks. The secretary, Maurice D'Souza and deacon Roshan D'Souza were on the dais. Sunil Crasta compered the programme.
