Mangaluru, Feb 28: The official inaugural of Moodbidri and Kadaba taluks, which had been put off earlier a number of times, has again been postponed. They were to be inaugurated by revenue minister, R V Deshpande, on Friday March 1.

Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, U T Khader, had announced at a press meet on Tuesday that these taluks would be inaugurated during the visit of Deshpande here on Friday for participation in progress review meeting relating to problems associated with revenue department.

Kadaba taluk's fourth proposed inaugural was scheduled for November 25 last. But in spite of all preparations in place, it was postponed at the last minute on account of the demise of actor-turned-politician, M H Ambareesh. Now, it is gathered that the programme has been cancelled again as revenue minster, Deshpande, is leaving on urgent work to New Delhi.

Puttur taluk panchayat executive officer has conveyed information to the panchayat development officer assigned with inaugural work that Kadaba taluk would be inaugurated on March 2. However, minister, U T Khader, clarified that Deshpande had asked the inaugural programme to be held on March 2, but it will not happen on March 2 as inaugural of Lady Goschen Hospital and Abbakka Utsava are planned that day. He said that a fresh date is yet to be fixed.
