Bantwal, Mar 9: In a strange incident, it was found that a girl student of a school near Vittal had become pregnant. Shockingly, her own minor brother had caused this pregnancy.
A case relating to this incident stands registered in Vittal police station.
The community health centre had undertaken health check up of the students of a school. During this process, a nurse of the centre became suspicious about the way a girl was moving about. She asked the girl to get herself checked at Lady Goschen Hospital, Mangaluru.
During the checks, the doctors found that she was into the fourth month of her pregnancy. Police were informed immediately. During her questioning, the girl revealed that she was raped often by her own elder brother, who is 17-years-old.
The accused minor boy was taken into custody and sent to the observation facility of Juvenile Justice Board.
