Kundapur, Mar 9: BJP Mahila Morcha celebrated International Women’s Day at their office here on Friday. Kundapur BJP Mahila Morcha president Gunaratna who chaired the programme gave a speech.

Felicitation: Three women were felicitated based on their services in different sectors. They were Padmamma Koteshwar known as Neeramma for providing water during meetings and programmes, Dr Vijayalaxmi Sreyan for service in medical sector and teacher Suguna for services in education.

Dr Vijayalaxmi responding to the felicitations said that she is proud to be born a girl. “Every woman who faces the challenges of ladies society, the eyes of people and responsibilities in their lives ably is an achiever. It is essential for women to take care of their health,” she said.



Zilla panchayat members Suprita Uday Kulal, Laxmi Manju Billava, taluk panchayat member Jyothi Uday Poojary and others were present.

Mahila Morcha chief secretary Nirmala Shetty Shiriyara welcomed the gathering. Mamatha Shetty and Chandralekha introduced the felicities. Zilla panchayat member Srilatha Suresh Shetty compered the programme.
