Udupi, Mar 9: Paryaya Swamiji of Palimar Math, Sri Vidyadheeshateertha, informed at a press meet he addressed on Friday March 8 that the work of fixing gold plates to the roof of the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Krishna Math will begin on March 13 at 12.10 pm.

"On March 12, certain religious rituals connected with the renovation works would be conducted. The work on the roof will begin on March 13. As per procedure, the devotees will get an opportunity to offer 'Mushti Kanike' till the Brahmakalashotsava. At the same time, there will not be any change in the puja procedures in the Math. All the festivities and pujas will be performed normally and by 11 am the Maha Puja will be performed and door of the sanctum sanctorum will be closed.
Thereafter the roof work will begin. The work will end by 5 pm after which the night puja will be performed. If found necessary, work will continue even at night," he explained.

Vaastu expert, Subrahmanya Avadhani and Venkatesh Shet U, who is in-charge of building the golden tower, were present.
