Bengaluru: Yeddyurappa audio tape - assembly speaker to send reminder on SIT

Bengaluru, Mar 9: State assembly speaker, Ramesh Kumar, said that he would write too the government again about the delay in formation of special investigation team (SIT) into the audio tape said to contain the voice of former chief minster, B S Yeddyurappa.

Speaking to media persons at Vidhana Soudha on Friday, he said that he had issued instruction ot form SIT in the capacity of assembly speaker. He added that he is not bothered whether his order has created disturbances to anyone or not.

He said that no one including the government is against the formation of SIT, duly reasoning that the concerned may be busy with Lok Sabha election. He said he had sought a report within 15 days and that he has decided to send reminder so as not to allow any suspicion to get rooted in people's minds.

In the audio which was released by the chief minister on February 8 said to contain conversation of Yeddyurappa with Sharana Gowda, son of MLA,Naganagouda Kandkoor, contains a remark that the speaker had been booked by paying Rs 50 crore. Kumar wants to clear his name from this allegation and therefore wants the SIT to be formed early.
