Kundapur: Construction union members threaten to boycott Lok Sabha polls over sand ban

Kundapur, Mar 10: Construction laborers union members protested near Sasthan bus stand on Sunday, March 10, demanding immediate solution to sand extraction issue.

Union members who held protest threatened to boycott elections if sand extraction issue is not solved.

Social activist Irody Vithal Poojary said, "Construction workers, poor and middle class people are suffering due to sand extraction ban. The state government and the district administration are directly responsible for the issue. If the issue is not solved, we are going to boycott Lok Sabha polls."

The protesters also objected to removal of banner put up by them regarding election boycott.
