Bantwal police raid recreation club over illegal gambling

Bantwal, Mar 17: A recreation club was raided here at Melkar in Panemangalore and 70 persons including the club manager were arrested on charges of gambling on Saturday, March 16.

Club manager Sai Kiran(37) is one among the persons arrested.

The Bantwal town police during raid seized Rs 72,000 in cash, mobile phones worth Rs 1 lac and other materials used for gambling.



The raid was carried out based on credible information by the police team led by Bantwal ASP Saidul Adavath. During the raid it was also found that the club had no licence and gambling was carried out without permission.

A case has been registered at Bantwal town police.
