Bantwal, Apr 5: Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency’s Congress candidate Mithun Rai started his campaign here on Thursday, April 4.

He offered special prayers at famous Raktheshwari temple, B C Road in the morning at 7.30 am and visited from there Modankap Infant Jesus church, Mogarnad temple, Panemangaluru Kalkurti temple, Nandavar Vinayak temple, Panolibail Kalkurti temple and Natla temples and offered prayers. He visited shops in Kalladka market and houses and campaigned for votes.

Speaking to media persons he said that he has started campaigning in Bantwal and has received excellent response from the voters. “BJP party activists also have joined me for campaigning in Kalladka,” he said.

He also visited and offered prayers at temples and churches in Kadeshivalaya, Peraje, Barimaru, Bantwal, Ajilamagaru, Allipade, Siddakatte, Benjanapadavu, Polali and other places and campaigned.

Former minister Ramanath Rai, zilla panchayat member Chandraprakash Shetty, M S Mohammed, taluk panchayat vice president Abbas Ali, Prashanth Kulal, Padmanabha Rai, A C Bhandary, Sanjeeva Poojary, Hasainar and others also took part in the campaign.
