Bantwal: Noble man Sharif provides free vegetables for children's midday meal

Bantwal, Apr 5: A vegetable vendor from here has emerged as a model for the entire society by continuously providing vegetables free of cost for the midday meal programme of 135 students of a government school here.

The man who has been doing this yeoman's service is none other than Mohammed Sharif, who owns 'Chandrika Vegetables' at Melkar here. This youngster has been providing vegetables to students of the government school without charging anything.

Sharif has been providing vegetables for the midday meal of 135 children of government higher primary school at Maji, Veerakamba in the taluk. These students study from pre-primary to seventh standard. Sharif has been doing this noble service since the last two years. He provides potato, beetroot, Madras cucumber and other vegetables.

Sharif's humble gesture has drawn appreciation from everyone here.
