Bantwal, Apr 6: “Prime Minister Modi’s administration during the last five years has completely failed. Modi, who should have become the ‘chowkidhar’ for farmers, youth, unity and harmony in the country, has sown the seeds of hatred between castes and religions and created confusion. BJP people who do not have their own identity are fooling the people wearing the mask of Modi. Voters should be alert about it,” said Koppa block Congress president Sudhir Kumar Murolli. He gave a key note address in the Congress mass campaign meeting held in Vamadapadavu here in the evening on April 4.

“MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has done no visible development work in Dakshina Kannada district in the last ten years. Instead of speaking in the parliament, he spoke of setting fire to the district and looked for ways to create riots,” he criticized.

Congress party candidate Mithun Rai said that he is contesting as the voice of Congress, JDS leaders and activists and he is determined that Congress should fly the flag of victory. “Activists should work for the success of the party. I will respond during next five years to the pain of activists and people,” he assured.

Former minister B Ramanath Rai blamed MP Nalin for the merger of Vijaya bank, a symbol of prestige in the district.

Congress leaders were present.

Navin Chandra Shetty welcomed. Shaukhat Ali rendered the vote of thanks. Rajiv Kakkapadavu compered the programme. Activists in the leadership of B Ramanath Rai wearing saffron shawls performed road show in Vamadapadavu market and campaigned for votes prior to the meeting.
