Kundapur, Apr 8: “BJP will win 22 seats in the state and 300 seats at the centre and Narendra Modi led government will come back to power again,” said former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

He addressed a campaign meeting in favour of Shivamogga Lok Sabha candidate B Y Raghavendra at Nempu on Sunday evening.

“Opposition leader Mallikarjun Kharge will lose. Kalburgi will come under BJP. Devegowda will go home and people of Tumkur will send him for a retired life,” he said.

“People are asking what the contribution of chief minister to Mandya is. Therefore we have extended support to Sumalatha."

“The state government has received 20% commission before five irrigation projects in Hassan. Narendra Modi had said that the state government is 10% government but is known that it is 20% government now. The state government has brought the state to the verge of bankruptcy speaking lies and cheating,” he lambasted.

“The country had gone bankrupt during last Congress rule. It has improved after Modi came, but child Rahul Gandhi speaks as he likes. IT officials are conducting raids on suspected houses. It had conducted raids on our leaders Davangere Siddesh and Dr Ashwath Narayan. We did not make noise about it, but the chief minister is saying that the IT department is conducting raids on orders from the union government. The people of the state will not tolerate this,” he said.

Congress free India was the dream of Mahatma Gandhi: “BJP has decided to make the dream of Mahatma Gandhi of Congress free India, a reality. I have heard of chief minister reopening Yeddyurappa cases after elections. Let him open them now if possible as he will be going home after that,” he said.

Local BJP leaders were present.
