Udupi, Apr 8: District sweep committee on Sunday evening April 8 held a programme to create voter’s awareness on Kaup seashore which was filled with tourists.

Demonstrations on voting with EVM and VVPAT were held at special counters opened for the purpose. Tourists were explained the importance of voting. The team led by Girish Navada showed a street play on the message of voting.



Central election observer Krishna Kunal inaugurated the programme by beating a drum. Deputy commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, zilla panchayat chief officer Sindhu Roopesh, municipal council chief officer Rayappa, taluk panchayat executive officer Raju and others were present. Those present took oath that they will vote.
