Udupi, Apr 8: Social activist Ansar Ahmed expressed dissatisfaction over expulsion of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru independent candidate Amrath Shenoy for six years without showcause notice alleging anti party activities. He has challenged to expel Janardhan Poojary also.

He said that Congress party which does not respond to the opinions of activists did not consult local leaders while giving up Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency to JDS. “The matter naturally angered the activists. In the developments that followed, Amrath Shenoy under pressure and support of Congress activists submitted his nomination to contest as independent candidate. The party has considered that as the anti party activity.”

“Veteran Congress leader Janardhan Poojary has been giving one to ten statements against the party per day. Statements such as ‘Jai Modi’ and ‘Modi should become prime minister for the formation of glorious India’ are included in them.”

“If the Congress is brave, let it also issue an order expelling Janardhan Poojary along with that against Amrath Shenoy,” challenged social activist Ansar Ahmed.
