Kasargod, Apr 8: In a strange incident, a person was stabbed during the process of conciliation undertaken by the district legal services authority here in an attempt to settle marital discord.
In this incident, Abubakker Haji (68) from Malappuram Kannadipatti was injured. The police have arrested C K Moidin, resident of Nallikunje here, relating to this incident. He has been charged with murder attempt. Abubakker Haji has been hospitalised.
Shamseera, daughter of Moidin, and Afzal, son of Abubakker Haji, had married in 2017. The couple has a one-year-old baby. In the recent past, differences had arisen between the husband and wife. Shamseera had approached the court seeking compensation. In an effort to find an amicable solution, both the families had been invited to the offie of legal services authority here.
