Mangaluru: World Health Day observed at Yenepoya Medical College

Mangaluru, Apr 9: A programme on health awareness was held at Deralakatte Yenepoya Medical College Hospital on account of World Health Day, April 8.

The programme was presided by medical superintendant Dr Sampathila Padmanabha. Head of the department of general medicine, Dr Prabha Adhikari inaugurated the programme after examining the blood pressure of a person. She gave information on preventing epidemics such as Cholera, Malaria and Dengue etc.



Hospital administration and medical community work students held a procession with health awareness panels. Hospital administration department’s Dr Sunita Saldanha and medical community work’s Dr Mohammed Guthigar, nursing Matron Sr Ilene, hospital superintendant Pravin Kumar were on the dais. Marketing department’s Vijayananda welcomed the gathering. Medical community work department’s Abdul Razak rendered the vote of thanks.
