Kaup, Apr 9: A complaint of poll code violation stands registered against Iqbal Samshuddin, owner of a house in Katapadi, and Pramod Madhwaraj, JD(S) candidate from Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency. The complaint mentions that Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, had participated in an election meeting held at a house at Achchada in Katapadi, Udupi district, on Sunday April 7 without any prior permission.

It is said that the chief minister had taken part in the meeting of leaders of Udupi District Muslim Union held at the house bearing the name, 'Baitul Asma' at Katapadi. The complaint also mentions that microphone was used at the said venue without any prior permission.

On the basis of complaint made by Nagaraj, election flying squad officer, a case stands registered in Kaup police station.
