Byndoor, Apr 9: In an accident which happened between a motor bike and tempo near Areshiroor Tondle on Kollur Road near here, Thimmappa Poojary (40), who was riding the bike, was killed. The accident happened on Monday April 8. Thimmappa's sister, who was riding the pillion, suffered serious injuries and was admitted into a hospital at Kundapur.
Thimmappa's sister's marriage is set to take place on the 22nd of this month. He was moving toward Golihole village to distribute invitation cards for the marriage. A tempo which was moving at high speed on Kollur road hit his motor bike hard. As a result, Thimmappa suffered grave injuries to his abdomen and head and died on the spot.
A case relating to the accident was registered at the police station here.
