Udupi, Apr 10: “Those who won on Modi wave last time have not maintained their name as they did not do any work concerning development. Similarly Modi also has not implemented the assurances made by him to people,” said Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok sabha constituency Pramod Madhwaraj. He was addressing voters in public campaign meeting held at Uppalli cross.

“Shobha Karandlaje has not taken any action over irrigation problem of Chikkamagaluru, water woes, farmers’ problems or national highway problems.

“As per Kasturi Rangan report, when forest residents were vacated without alternative arrangement for their rehabilitation, she has failed to perform her responsibility as she did not try to appoint an advocate to argue the case of the residents in Supreme Court. As she did not respond to the problems of the people during her term, she is asking to vote looking at the face of Modi due to fear of losing,” he said.
