Bantwal: MLA Rajesh Naik visits government hospital over complaints

Bantwal, Apr 10: Following messages of anguish in social media about irregularities and staff high handedness, MLA Rajesh Naik paid a surprise visit to the government hospital here on Tuesday morning and conducted inspection.

He asked taluk medical officer to display the telephone numbers of doctors at the reception. Zilla panchayat executive officer telephoned and requested to reappoint 18 dismissed contract workers. He stressed on cleanliness and hygiene.

The visit was held after anguish over refusal to treat a patient by a staff nurse despite doctor’s recommendation.



Taluk medical officer Dr Deepa Prabhu, hospital medical officer Dr Sadashiva, Ramanath Rai and Ramadas Bantwal were present.
