Udupi, Apr 9: Udupi district has stood first in the state in terms of disposal of cases taken through cVigil app.

The Election Commission had introduced cVigil app where public can register complaints in case of any code of conduct violations ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Through cVigil app, as many as 91 complaints were received. While 14 complaints were dropped after reviewing, 56 complaints were reviewed and action was taken. As many as 21 complaints were dismissed.

Compared to other districts, Udupi received the highest number of complaints through the app. While a few false complaints were dismissed, serious complaints were dealt according to law.

As per the direction of Udupi deputy commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, complaints registered through cVigil app were clearly reviewed. Hence, Udupi stands first in the state for disposing cases by taking action immediately.

Public can register any kind of complaints in case of any code of conduct through this app. Those who own android mobile can download this app in play store. Public can upload pictures, videos in this app pertaining to any code of conduct, within 100 minutes the complaint will be attended to and information too will be given to the complainant.
