Kundapur, Apr 12: “Vote for Narendra Modi led NDA government for safety, security and welfare of the country,” said Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha candidate Shobha Karandlaje. She was speaking after election campaigning at Bar association at Kundapur court.
“Mahaghatbandhan has already broken into pieces due to confusion in the state coalition government. Sufficient development has taken place in my constituency. I will sincerely work for all round progress of the constituency if I am elected,” she assured.
Bar association president Niranjan Hegde Salvady, office bearers, members, advocates, BJP block president Kaduru Suresh Shetty, chief secretary Bhasker Billava, district chief secretary Sandhya Ramesh, Yuva Morcha president Sathish Poojary, municipal councillor Mohandas Shenoy, Mahila Morcha president Gunaratna, members and others were present.
Shobha campaigns at auto-rickshaw stands
Shobha Karandlaje campaigned at several auto-rickshaw stands and requested drivers to vote for her. “I will sincerely try to implement your demands if elected. I have not indulged in allegations against anybody. I have spoken about development during my term. Jayaprakash Hegde is our veteran leader. I respect him a lot,” she said.
Speaking to reporters in Kundapur on Thursday, she said that she had performed the work that was not done for the last seventy years. “I have implemented the work on Kendriya Vidyalaya and passport office. I have already invited Hegde for campaigning and he has come in some places. I will not speak about ‘Go back’,” she said.
‘Playing politics in pain’
Responding to the statement of minister of fisheries Nadagouda that fishermen are from Karwar and not from here, she said that it shows his mean mentality. “There is no need to give importance to it as he may not have knowledge of fishing. Central Navy, coastal guards and the police are struggling hard to find missing fishermen. The Navy and expert fishermen have prepared for joint surveillance. Let Pramod Madhwaraj who is speaking about it say what he has done to find the fishermen,” she said.
“BJP has considered seriously the murder cases of Paresh Mestha, Prashanth Poojary, Rudresh, Sharath Madiwal and others. We have provided justice to their families,” she said.
