Udupi: No fear of losing, statements by Pramod show he is desperate – Shobha Karandlaje

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, Apr 13: “I have no doubt of winning the current elections as seven MLAs, two district presidents and thousands of activists have been working for the party's victory day and night under the slogan ‘Modi again’ ever since the day I submitted my nomination. On the contrary coalition candidate Pramod Madhwaraj has the fear of losing,” said BJP candidate Shobha at a public meeting in Hiriadka, Kaup.

“While Congress people have been asking for votes since the last sixty years in the name of late Indira Gandhi and showing the video of Rajiv Gandhi’s last rites, why can’t BJP use the name of dreamer of new India, proud prime minister that brought glory to the country with excellent achievements for the last five years and introduced the country as strong to the world? Does the coalition have moral right to ask.

“Congress people who could not retain their symbol making statements through Pramod who had deserted the party out of desperation is laughable. Pramod who was rejected from Udupi as minister and district in charge minister and lost his identity in Udupi Vidhan Sabha constituency is a weak candidate. BJP does not need to be answerable to a weak candidate who is repeatedly knocking at the door of other parties,” she said.

“Ayushman scheme of reimbursing medical expenses up to Rs five lac to a family is an amazing scheme by Prime Minister Modi that has benefited crores of people. He has opened medical shops and has made sure that medicines are available at affordable rates for the people. He has brought about Ujwala scheme for women, light in houses of 18,000 villages through Ujjwala scheme, formed clean country through Swachh Bharat scheme, provided security to young people through several lac jobs, freed the country from enemies and terrorists and strengthened the lives of people through different insurance schemes. Can the people forget such a person? Please join hands with Modi for a strong country,” said Shobha Karandlaje.

BJP leaders were present.

Can anyone tell me what good this lady has done towards the constituency, where people voted for her and got her elected to the parliament? It does not matter if the MP is from a ruling party or opposition. If he or she cannot or does not voice the concerns of the constituency in the parliament, is unable to mobilize funds for the development of the constituency, then, I don't think the candidate deserves a second or third chance.
Whereas, Pramod Madhavaraj has proved himself during his time a MLA and minister. He has the will and the vision to take his constituency forward. So, I feel that for Udupi, Pramod is a better choice.
I dont think the Mahagatbandhan will be able to form the govt at the centre, but with the right MP, atleast we can expect our constituency to develop
