Puttur: Lorry hits motor bike - rider killed

Puttur, Apr 29: Ganesh (24), a bike rider, who suffered serious injuries after his vehicle got involved in an accident with a lorry late night on Saturday died at a hospital sometime later. The accident happened at Valalu in Bajathur village near Uppinangady on national highway 75.

The deceased was the son of Ishwar Moolya from Angaraje in Kedila village, Bantwal taluk. He was moving in his motor bike towards Uppinandady from Nelyady when the accident happened. It is said that the accident caused as the lorry without any indication, all of a sudden turned to a small road leading to a village.

Ganesh, who suffered critical injuries, was immediately taken to Mangaluru and admitted into a private hospital but in spite of medical treatments given to him, he did not survive.

On the basis of a report filed by Neelappa, relative of the deceased, a case was registered in the traffic police station here.
